As part of TEDxFarookCollege Season 2, I led the design & branding for the event themed “Dhow.” The goal was to visually express Malabar’s deep connection with water and voyages while staying true to TEDx guidelines.

Design Process
Theme Research & Moodboard
Researched Malabar’s culture, history, and boat motifs to gather inspiration, then created a comprehensive moodboard.

Important Places of Malabar
Sketched Wayanad Churam & Kappad Beach for the theme reveal, which became central to the theme identity.

Landmarks of Malabar
Created sketches of Ponnani Harbour and Valiyangadi to further strengthen the cultural storytelling of the theme.

Speaker Reveal Templates
Developed a consistent visual template to reveal speakers, ensuring brand coherence across announcements.

ID Cards
Designed ID cards for different categories of participants and organizers in alignment with the TEDx theme.

Challenges
Balancing strict TEDx branding guidelines while embedding strong cultural storytelling around the “Dhow” theme.
